– Where are you from?

– Your years?
Almost 30!
– What have you studied?
I studied in 2 different schools: one more on French comic, animation and illustration. The second more on graphic design and illustration.
– How and when did you become an illustrator?
I started to work as a graphic designer for 4 years, but I was an illustrator too at that time. So, as a full-time illustrator, it’s about 2 years now.
– What have you worked before an artist?
I’ve done several jobs during my studies such as restaurant waiter, school supervisor, vintager…
-Where do you work and what are you working on at the moment?
I’m currently freelancing at my home, but I also have a few hours a month as a teacher in my former art school. I actually work on a new board game.
– Favorite and good artists for you?
Woah, there’s a lot! But the most inspiring, I guess I would say: Max Grecke, Mike Azevedo, Randy Bishop, Cory Loftis, Loish, Amanda Jolly…
– Favorite drink?
Pastis, local alcohol from my city, which is perfume with anise. But Tea for working 😉
– Favorite place?
Japan, and Kyoto in particular. Such a wonderful country!
– Favorite movie?
Ah! hard choice. Mmh… I guess any Miyazaki movie. Too hard to make a choice between them. But I also love INTERSTELLAR, because it’s such a blast.
– Advice to young artists:
Don’t be afraid of failure. Failure is part of the job. So, when you do fail, don’t give up. Learn from your mistakes, and keep going. Even if some artists are naturally better for sketch, color, or composition… doesn’t mean you can’t succeed on your goals.
– Your strong side?:
I work as much as I can, and I always learn. And character design is my strong side I guess.
