– How and when did you become an illustrator?
Under my friend’s referral, I started working in 2010 for a start-up company called IdleGames. We made Idle Worship, a game on the Facebook platform.
– What have you worked before an artist?
In a Chinese noodle soup restaurant in Oakland China Town, CA for 10 years as I was studying art. It is the noodle nurtured my creativity.
-Where do you work and what are you working on at the moment?
Back to start up the company again, I am currently working on an app as an artist/animator in San Francisco, CA. I also want to develop another person short. I try to sketch out the idea, taking notes daily on my train to work.
– Favorite and good artists for you?
I have a huge influence from Pixar, Dreamwork, Disney but my root is in Asia. Here are few artists I keep returning to Satoshi Kon, Makoto Shinkai, Hayao Miyazaki, Jimmy Liao…

– Advice to young artists:
I don’t know if this is gonna help but this is my practice and my mindset when comes to create art. Drawing the same drawing 1000 times with one approach then drawing the same drawing 1000 times with different approaches. I ended up not able to catch up with a lot of Netflix shows because of this training.
